Sand carving is a handcrafted process I use to etch and engrave unique designs on glass and crystal. The sandcarving process results in beautiful, deep engraving. The depth of the carving depends on the design and the thickness of the crystal or glass. Sandcarved images reflect light beautifully, and have a look and feel that is unique and very high quality.
I work with you to create your design, or use an image or design you provide. Then I develop a mask based on the design, and carefully apply the mask to the glass.
I place the glass into the sandblast cabinet, and carve your design to create your personalized creation.
If your design is to be painted, I do that after it is carved.
I remove the mask and clean the glass to reveal your finished design.
